XC 2023: Week 9 Update
WOW! What a crazy week huh? Bus issues all over the place! Thank you to all of you who were able to adjust and make things work. One of our main goals is to provide our athletes an opportunity to compete and be successful. The last week and this weekend would not have been possible without parental support. Than you!
New Rules at Team Practice:
CELL PHONES are no longer to be used during stretching or team time. If you need your phone to track your runs, that is acceptable. However, moving no phones for any reason should be out during team time, stretching, etc. If there is a reoccurring problem with phones, they will be collected and given to parents as athletes are picked up.

This was a tough week for all of us. Highest mileage week of the season so far. We have been building our mileage for the last 3 – 4 weeks so everyone felt a little tired. However, everyone competed very well, and we hope that everyone had a great time hanging out with each other.
Home Meet:
This week, Wednesday, we are hosting Marriotts Ridge and Wilde Lake HS. The race will start at 4:45pm with just one race. Boys and Girls will run together, but they will be scored separately.
Please note that our runners will be performing a workout on the course during the race and a post-race workout.
We plan to recognize the seniors at the conclusion of the evening. This will take place around 6:15pm at our team area by the school. At the conclusion of the senior recognition, we will dismiss the team.
Homecoming Weekend:
This Friday is the Homecoming Football game. I know its exciting to go and support the football team, but please be mindful that we have an early start the next morning with our LAST invite of the season. Our bus will depart at 7am for the meet and we should arrive home NLT 1:00/1:30pm.
The Homecoming Dance will take place Saturday Evening at Reservoir.
