XC 2023:  Week 4 Update

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!  Good luck to all of you as start your school year!  I am excited to be back and excited to be starting this school year with THIS TEAM!

  • Pool Party:
    • Special thanks to Coach Laura Guenin (Scarlett’s Mom) for arranging the our time at the Laurel Municipal pool, for all the snacks and the Chick Fil a!     • Thank you to Mai Vo, Tam’s sister for arranging to surprise celebration for Tam’s birthday at the pool party! We had some great cake and the Mt. Dew was pretty tasty!

 

 

  • Mileage Club. Congratulations to the following athletes that earned Mileage Club Recognition this summer.

  • Snack Box: I do need a volunteer or two to help with the snack box.  The volunteers would be responsible for gathering donations from other families (sign up genius) and for each meet sending in the waters/gatorades and snacks.  In some years, a volunteer would handle the drinks and another would handle the snacks.

 

 

  • Team Travel Trip is scheduled for September 30th – October 1st. Here is Tentative Itinerary.
    • The cost is tentatively $150.
      • We will provide subs from Pepper Jacks for Lunch on Saturday.
      • Dinner will be at the food trucks, bring a few dollars for food.
      • Breakfast will be provided by the hotel on Sunday morning.
      • Bring Snacks of your choice!
    • We want everyone to attend! This trip is a blast and I promise you will have a great time!  I do not want money to be an issue.  If it is, please reach out to me.
    • Please let me know if there are any issues that you foresee with attending the trip.

 

  • ATHLETIC LOCKERS:  I am working with the PE Department to get lockers for all the athletes.  I should be able to have the squared away by the end of the week.

 

  • Spirit Wear:  The Team Store Closes on Monday, August 28th at 11:59pm.

NOTE:  Uniform Issue will take place after practice.

  • (New Athletes need to purchase team shorts. You can either bring $30 cash, check payable to RHS, or pay online)

Parent/Athlete Meeting:  7:00pm Should only be 30 – 45 minutes.
