Week 9: Fall XC 2025

Monday, October 13 – Saturday, October 18

Important Items for the Week

Atheltes of the Meet

  • Each of the major meets we like to recognize a few athletes for being AWESOME! That could be running a really fast time, Personal best effort, or other amazing feats!
  • For the MDXC Invitational we wanted to recognize the following:
  • Connor Walsh: WOW!  He ran a 52s personal best time to break 17 minutes for the first time!  That is HUGE!  He is now ranked 14th in Reservoir History.  WAY TO GO!
  • Colin Poon: A 32s personal best time!  He is ranked 20th all time at Reservoir HS.  Colin works so hard and is a wonderful captain!  Great Job Colin!
  • Daniel Lucinski: A 2:30 improvement! From 26:32 to 23:36… great job!  What a great race!  That is more than 60s improvement per mile!  Very proud of you Daniel!
  • Ella Linera: Ella with a 30s improvement!  She is now in the top 25 all time for RHS and she is only a Sophomore!  Way to rock it Ella!
  • Sam Iordanov: Since last Fall, Sam has show tremendous consistency and improvement.  He has run PR’s just about every meet this season.  So far he has improved by more than 3 minutes since the end of the season 5k time trial from the Fall of 2024.  About a minute of that came at MDXC!  Great job Sam!
  • Michael Drummond: Not only did he run a 30s PR, but he now knocking on the door of a sub 18 minute 5k.  He has also positioned himself firmly in the top 7 boys!  As a sophomore he is a Varsity Runner!  Congratulations Michael.
  • Jacob Bloor: Nothing can hold Jacob back!  Last Spring he broke his foot.  He has been working really hard to get back to a high level of fitness.  Slow and steady wins the race!  In Jacob’s case, he ran a seasonal best by quite bit and officially a new PR by 20s.  Coming back from an injury like that is amazing!
  • Luke Emad: He has improved by more than 2 minutes from last year.  Last year he PR’d 4 out of the 5 invites we ran and so far this year he has PR’d at each invite as well!  Rockstar status!  Luke’s PR at MDXC was about 26s, but from this time last year it was almost 3 minutes!
  • Boys Varsity Team: The boys varsity 8, Griffin, Colin, Jack, Connor, Jackson, Michael, Shaun, & McKenzie… way to put on the line.  You got out hard and put yourself in a great position.  Excellent JOB!

Fantasy XC for MDXC Invitational

  • Dominic Ye dominated the results this week.  Winning by over 4 minutes.
  • Jackson P, Griffin E, Eric Pascarello and Coach Rhys were all within 20s!
  • Full results are posted online:  https://xctf.rhsgators.com/cross-country/rezzixc-fantasy-cross-country/
