When:  Monday, September 5th

Time Frame:

  • Team Practice:  8:00am - 10:00am

This has been a Team Tradition for a number of years.  So each Labor Day we get together for a Team Practice and Introduce the Team to the Centennial HS Course.  This course is the site of the County Championships.

Our Workout will be a Fairly simple workout, but the benefits are HUGE!  We will meet at my home (address above).  We will then jog the 1.2 miles to the Centennial Course as our Warm-Up and then Complete our team drills and warm-up procedures.

The Workout will be to run around the campus and get exposure to the layout, terrain, hills, downhills, etc.  Each Group will be given an assigned run time.  Example:  20 minutes, 25 minutes, 35 minutes, etc.  As they run around the course, every hill they encounter they will SURGE (pick up the pace) up the hill. During the downhills and flat sections, they get to run easy.

After a successful completion of the timed hill fartlek, they will cool down and head back to my home.

We will do a quick stretch and at 10:00am, athletes are free to leave, but are encouraged to stay and hang out with the team for breakfast and a team movie.

If you are leaving after practice, please pick up by 10:00am, if you are leaving after breakfast, please pick up by Noon.

Menu for Breakfast:

Eggs or Cheesy Eggs

Pancakes and Waffles.

Donuts, Cinnamon Rolls, Nutrigrain Bars

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  1.  We do have a Silver Lab, her name is Frankie (2 years old).  She is super friends and loves everyone!  She will love you and give you lots of kisses if you let her.  Please do not feed her any food!  If something falls on the floors, that's ok!
  2. Please bring a change of clothes for after the practice.  I know you won't have the option to shower, but you don't need to sit around in your stinky sweaty running clothes.
  3. We have a trampoline, Soccer Goal,. Basketball Goal, Cornhole board, air hockey table and a couple of rooms for TV viewing!  (Note, our basement is 90% completed, and we are still putting a few things back together, so excuse the mess, but the basement will be a nice place to hangout)
