Good Morning,
Here are a few helpful notes as we head into our first meet:
- All athletes attending the meet will meet out back of the Athletic Hallway (near Tennis Courts) for a bus departure of 2:30pm.
- Shot Putters need to get their shots for the meet. May need to ask custodial for access to the room where we keep our shots.
- You must be dressed for the meet… IN YOUR UNIFORM. Feel free to wear warm-ups/sweats over top of your uniform.
- When you arrive to the complex, they may request a spike check. If you are wearing spikes you can only wear 1/4 inch pyramid spikes. We have them in our spike box if you need to change them.
- Please make sure you know what events you are scheduled for and approximately when they will run. Know what events are before your event so you are prepared and know when to start warming up.
- Absolutely NO ELECTRONICS are to be on the track, on the infield, or in the competition area. That includes cell phones, headphones, air pods , etc.
- Make sure you check in ready to race at the bull pen. Tell them your name, heat and lane number.
- Warm-Up properly and cool down properly. DO NOT just show up to run and Do not just go sit down after your race. Take Care of your bodies!
- Only wear your prescribed uniform to run in. Do not wear extra clothing, unless approved by a coach. Be mindful of jewelry, or other items that could have an issue during the competition.
- If you are departing the meet early, you must have sent an email prior to 1:30pm and A PARENT must check out with Coach Bobby or Coach Rogers.
- Coach Bobby is typically down by the finish line area. Coach Mekhi is down by the High Jump/Long Jump Area, Coach Hickson is down by the shot area and I am at the finish line computers. Please ask a coach if you have a question. However, to check out, you must sign out with either COACH BOBBY or COACH ROGERS.
- Finally: Compete, be respectful and have fun. Please take a moment to thank the officials and be courteous to them. Enjoy your experience and get after it today!
