December 15th Workouts

We are hoping this is a temporary issue. However, we are going to remain positive and focus on what we can control. So let’s put our energy into a good workout today. Although we are not having an official practice today, please get the following workout in either after school, at home, with your teammates.

SUGGESTION: Meet after school and get in your workout!

Distance/Mid-Distance:

Warm-Up and Drills, then complete a 30 – 40 minute run with the last 8 minutes being a QUICK Finish. After then run, do 4 x 150m hard strides on the track (or 4 x 25s not on a track) with about 2 minutes recovery.

Throwers:

  • 2 sets of 25 jumping jacks
  • 3 sets of 15 push ups
  • 3 sets of crunches
  • 3 sets of 20 second wall sits
  • Work on your Technique for 15 – 20 reps

Sprinters:

Short Sprinters: 6 x 120m @ 80% with 5’ recovery 

Long Sprinters: 9 x 120m @ 80% with 5’ Recovery 

Hurdlers:  Hurdle Drills then Keep working on going over one hurdle
