Day 1 Regionals: SUMMARY!

I just wanted to update you on the First day of the Regional Championships. 

ON THE TRACK:

100m Dash:

Jamie Adams, broke the school record by running 12.08s

Sophie Davidson, ran a personal best time of 12.44s

Shelby Foulks, ran 13.11

All three have qualified back to the finals on Saturday.

Jalen Booth-Mithell ran a new school record of 10.44s.  This time ranks him 65th out of all high schoolers in the country. 

Dylan Bradford tied is personal record of 10.92s

Myles Harrington ran a seasons best time of 11.54s

Jalen and Dylan are both heading back to finals on Saturday.

200m Dash:

Jamie Adams ran 24.94s (just off her own Personal record and school record)

Sophie Davidson ran a personal record of 26.33s

Mecca Jackson ran 26.45s (just off her own personal record)

All three have qualified back to the finals on Saturday.

Dylan Bradford ran 21.48 which is a personal best time for him.

Jalen Booth-Mitchell ran 22.46s. 

Jonathan Kukruku ran 23.63s which is a personal best time.

Dylan and Jalen both qualified back to finals on Saturday. 

100m Hurdles:

Kani’a Dozier ran 18.44s which is a personal record and qualified back to finals on Saturday.

Lily Pendleton ran 20.50s

Anyla Williams ran 20.72s. 

110m Hurdles:

Edwin Ekeinde ran 17.06s and his personal best time is 17.05s. 

Brandon Mulira ran 17.61s which is a new personal best time.

Christian Maiorana ran 18.04s which is just off his personal best time of 17.92

All Three qualified back to finals! 

3200m Run:

Delaney Lortz ran 12:34.69 which is only 10s off her personal best time.

Casey Moquin ran 13:32.11

Kidus Zeleke ran 9:55.31 and qualified to the State Championships!

William Chapman ran 10:07.69

Ryan Thibaudeau ran 10:44.26.  

4 x 200m Relay

The Girls Relay Team of Kani’a Dozier, Sophie Davidson, Jamie Adams and Mecca Jackson ran 1:41.44 which blows away the school record of 1:43 and are your Regional Champions.  They will be heading to States and they have qualified to Nationals! 

The Boys Relay Team of Samuel Akinrebiyo, Dylan Bradford, Jalen-Booth-Mitchell and Xavier Maple ran 1:27.68 which is a new school record and are also your Regional Champions.  They will be heading to States and they have also qualified to Nationals! 

4 x 800m Relay

Girls 4 x 800m relay of Caroline Rosenberry, Scarlett Guennin, Kyrie Moquin and Leilah Clark ran 10:49 for 8th place in the Region! 

Boys 4 x 800m relay of Arjun Banerjee, Andrew Cline, Olav Jensen and Connor Puls ran 8:41.50 and finished 7th in the Region! 

In the Field

Discus:

Isabel Kukuruku threw a personal best of 46ft 8in! 

Shot Put: 

Nikhil Narayan threw 39ft 3.5in

Brian Keys threw 33ft 6in

Carson Lawrence threw 32ft 7.5in.

Long Jump:

Michael Payne jumped 20ft 4.75in.  He has qualified for States

Evan Johnson jumped a Personal best time of 20ft 1.75in!  

Kojo Amissah jumped 16ft 11in. 

Triple Jump: 

Kiersten Jewell jumped a personal record of 34ft 6in and has qualified to States! 

Nicole Walker jumped 32ft 3in for a personal best mark! 

Margot Laughner jumped a seasons best of 31ft 11in.
