Sprinters: April 17 & April 18

What a week!  So many Personal Bests and amazing performances!

Warm-Ups and Cool Downs are also improving!

We are extremely proud of your effots so far... Below is your plan for the next few days and a few additonal reminders as well:

Friday:  EVERYONE has a REST DAY!  With the great races and two very hot days, we want you to spend today relaxing, hydrating, rest, etc.

 

Saturday:  

  • If you raced on Wednesday this past week, you should do a light work out on Saturday.  However, we will not have scheduled practice on Saturday. You will need to complete this on your own.  You can do this workout at the track or at home.  Just need a way to mark a start line and two different finish lines (40m and 50m).  See workout calendar for more details.
  • If you raced on Thursday you should simply complete warm-up B, do the mrtyl routine, or hurdle drills to aid in the recovery process.  A good stretch, foam roll/massage gun.

 

Looking Ahead:  

  • We have a meet on Monday, April 20.  If you ran on Wednesday, you will most likely run on Monday.  Many of you are fighting for a spot at Emerging Elite or Gator,
  • After this weekend, we will create a Championship Pool of Athletes.
    • We will start to set our line ups for the County Championships
    • We will also start to set our line ups for the Maverick Madness Invite (our --Reservoir's last chance qualifier for the County or Regional Championships).
  • Team Pictures will be Wednesday, April 22, but then we will ask for your help with setting up the stadium.
  • Emerging Elite and Gator Invite are April 24 and April 25.
    • This is all hands on deck!
    • Missing the event/weekend has to get direct approval from Coach Rogers
    • If you are not able to attend, you must find a way to contribute, donate or support the event.
