SUBJECT: Friday and Saturday Park INVITE
Communication from the Park Invite Meet Director is that the meet is a go.
They will be monitoring the weather.
We need to prepare for the meet and I wanted to pass a long a few suggestions to help you prepare for tomorrow.

- Bring Towels to dry of benches and to dry yourself off with
- Bring Trash bags to put your stuff in so they stay dry. Your book bag or gym bag will get soaked if left in the rain. If possible, leave your school bag at school. We can get you inside the building Friday Evening.
- Bring extra clothes in a sealed trash bag to ensure they are dry. This will be nice to be able to change into after the meet.
- Bring multiple pairs of socks. They will get soaked and you want your feet to always stay dry.
- If you have extra shoes, bring some. Keep shoes in trash bags so they don’t get everything else wet.
- If you have rain gear – Rain Coat/Rain Pants/Boots, bring them.
- Warm Clothes: It will be cool.
- They have a great concession stand, so you can bring food/snacks/drinks or you can visit their concession stand.
- We will have bottles of water and Gatorade powder packets for you.
Friday: Early Dismissal from Class will be at 1:30pm. Bus will depart at 1:45pm.
If you are NOT Riding the bus, you are also allowed to leave at 1:30pm, but you must arrive to the meet NO LATER THAN 90 minutes prior to the start of your event. Drive safe, and account for weather slow downs. Plan on a minimum of 35 - 45 minutes.
Saturday: Due to forecast, I would love to encourage you all to self transport to and from the meet. This way you can arrive for your event(s) and depart after your event. Simply send an email to progers@hcpss.org and gesslermd@aol.com NLT 11:59 PM Friday. All other athletes are expected to ride the bus. Simply state "Athlete Name will self transport on Saturday to the Park Invite and will arrive by 90 minutes prior to the start of their event.
Of course all athletes are welcome on the bus, but please be sure to bring what you need and prepare for a wet cold day.
