Week 5 Update: Indoor TF 2024/2025

Good Morning/Afternoon Reservoir Track & Field Family!

Here are a few important reminders and details for the upcoming week.

  • Friday was the Mercersburg Season Opener and the team did great! Lots of Personal Best Marks, lots of great performances and even one school record!  Hannah McDerment broke her own Pole vault school record by 1”.  She just missed a vault that would have beaten the school record by 7”!  Big things to come!
  • Monday, we have a meet at the PG Sports and Learning Complex, primarily for sprinters and field events personnel. All information can be found on the meet information page.
    • Athletes: Please note the early dismissal from class at 1:30pm.  Bus will depart at 1:50pm.  If you are not on the bus, you will not be allowed to compete.
    • Parents/Athletes: If you wish to leave the meet early, you may, but a parent must sign out with either myself, Coach Mekhi, Coach Alec or Coach Hickson.
  • Team Warm-Ups. If you ordered a warm-up, they have arrived!  You can simply come by my room (room 327) to pick them up.  Please note, you must pay in order to pick up the warm-up.

  • Uniform Issue Update:
    • If you have not picked up your uniform, Monday Morning is the last time prior to Monday’s Meet: Room 327 from 7:00am – 7:40am.
    • Please only come to pick up your uniform during this time ONLY.  Do not come by my classroom while I am teaching.  If you do not have a uniform, you will not compete.  We will offer one last uniform issue later this week for all remaining athletes.
  • Saturday: We have a meet scheduled for Saturday, December 21st.
    •  This is a varsity meet and a small number of athletes will be selected for this meet.
      • We will publish the meet line up for this meet on Tuesday Afternoon/Wednesday Morning. (Meet Information Page)
    • We also need 6 – 10 volunteers for the meet from 9:00am – 2:00pm.  You will get lunch and free entrance into the facility.  Students can also use this for volunteer hours and an opportunity to see a big meet in action.  Student workers can also ride the bus to and from the meet or be picked up after their shift.    Please sign up on the google doc.
  • We will start to hand out invitations to the Hispanic Games Team Trip to New York City this week after the Mondays meet.
  • And don’t forget to let us know if you can attend the meet on December 27th over the holiday break.
