Weekend Update Dec 12 – 13

Good Evening Reservoir Track & Field:

First and foremost, I apologize for being absent from practice today but from what I was told, today was a successful practice and things went smoothly!  Please take a moment to read through this email as it contains quite a bit of information for the next few days.

In case we don’t see you personally, please have a Happy Holidays and please let us know if you have any questions about meets, practices, or the team, etc.  Our season is just getting started!  AND please continue to communicate with your coaches it is very much appreciated!

  • Meet Line Up and Information
  • IMPORTANT: Early Dismissal from class is at 12:15pm.  A list was sent out to all staff members.

****Special Note:  12:15pm is the end of the 3^rd lunch block.  If you normally eat 4^th lunch, you will need to eat  during 3^rd lunch.  Please communicate with your teachers.

• • Feel free to bring blankets for the bus ride.
  • Please be sure to wear comfy clothing and not just your uniform. Bring sweats, jacket, etc.
  • Please bring money for dinner or pack food/snacks. There will be a food truck on site as well as a few small eating establishments near campus.

• IF YOU ARE NOT going to the MERCERSBURG SEASON OPENER…
  • Please check your workout calendars for your weekend workout.
  • Every day counts!
  • Every day is a new day to make a choice to be better!

• Uniform Issue Update:
  • If you have not picked up your uniform, here are three pick up options:
    • Friday Morning: Room 327 from 7:00am – 7:40am.
    • Saturday Morning: I will come down to Reservoir from 11:15pm – 12:30pm.
      • I will ensure that the door by the athletic entrance (Tennis courts) is open and that you can walk to my room. There is no scheduled practice, but this is an opportunity to pick up your uniform.  Room 327.
    • Monday Morning: Room 327 from 7:00am – 7:40am.
  • Please only come to pick up your uniforms during these times.  Do not come by my classroom while I am teaching.  If you do not have a uniform, you will not compete.  We will offer one last uniform issue next week, TBD.
• Next Week: We have a meet scheduled for Monday, December 16^th and a meet scheduled for Saturday, December 21^st.
  • Dec 16^th: This is primarily a sprinters & field event meet.  Most sprinters will get a chance to compete.  Quite a few of the newer field event folks will also get a chance to compete as well.
    • We will publish the meet line up for this meet on Saturday afternoon. (Meet Information Page)
  • Dec 21^st: This is a varsity meet and a small number of athletes will be selected for this meet.
    • We will publish the meet line up for this meet on Tuesday afternoon. (Meet Information Page)
• We will start to hand out invitations to the Hispanic Games Team Trip to New York City next week after the Monday meet.
• And don’t forget to let us know if you can attend the meet on December 27^th over the holiday break.
